BEECH
Compact frequency stabilisation unit with ultra low long-term drift
Reliable and accurate frequency stabilisation of lasers is key for quantum optics and quantum information experiments with trapped ions or atoms. BEECH offers frequency stabilisation of 4 key wavelengths for trapping 40Ca+ in a single 4 RU, 19-inch rack module. Ultra low drift rates and full remote control ensure high reproducibility with minimum effort.
Linear drift per day
19-inch rack mountable module
Key wavelengths for 40Ca+ trapping
Frequency stabilisation of lasers can take a significant amount of work and space in the lab.
Stabilisation of up to four key experimental wavelengths for 40Ca+ trapping
Frequency stabilisation of lasers at vastly different wavelengths may generate a lot of overhead in space and effort. Our compact BEECH simultaneously stabilises lasers at 397 nm, 423 nm, 854 nm and 866 nm wavelenths for 40Ca+ trapping.
Low linear drift rate of below 25 kHz per day
The ultra low linear drift of BEECH guarantees constant performance of your experiment and reduces calibration overhead
Drift rate
Linear drift of 100(28) Hz/h measured over >100 hours
Web user interface
Full remote contol over lock parameters via web user interface. Lock status via API.
BEECH is a rack compatible laser frequency stabilisation module for up to 4 different wavelengths, using fully digital PID signal processing. With its compact 4RU 19-inch rack form factor, ultra low frequency drift rates and full remote operation it enables high reproducibility of experimental results with low overhead in space and effort.
BEECH is based on a transfer lock with a proprietary cavity design, thus combining the excellent long term stability of an atomic resonance with the flexibility and short term stability provided by high bandwidth PDH stabilization to an optical cavity.
It features fiber coupled input ports and a fiber coupled optical reference output at 335.111370 THz for calibration of external devices.
Information on a BEECH version for Sr neutral atoms is available on request.
